APICA’S ANNUAL SUSHI SHOWDOWN
Sushi Showdown is an annual fundraising event hosted by the Asian Pacific Islander Capitol Association (APICA)
Sushi Showdown provides the financial support for APICA to continue building and strengthening the AANHPI and SWANA Capitol staff community through programs, such as our annual Summer Fellowship Program, which brings paid interns to the Capitol each year to provide young professionals the opportunity to develop work experience in Sacramento and expands our pipeline of AANHPI and SWANA staff.
Sushi Showdown is an opportunity to build community, recognize champions, and compete in a sushi eating contest!

APICA’S 14TH ANNUAL SUSHI SHOWDOWN

Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the program/ sushi eating begins at 6:00 pm.

Tickets:
Tickets can be purchased through our Sushi Showdown GiveButter. $35 for non-members. $25 for our APICA members. To become an APICA member, pay/renew annual dues through GiveButter.
Free for fellows and interns! Fellows and interns can become an APICA member by filling out this Google Form.

Join us in celebrating the Honorable Fiona Ma, CPA (California State Treasurer), Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (Assembly District 66), Assemblymember Alex Lee (Assembly District 24), Erika Ngo (Office of Assemblymember Ash Kalra), and the Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project.
The evening will be hosted by Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen (Assembly District 10) and Stephanie Tom (Deputy State Treasurer).

Because of you, we are able to raise crucial funds for APICA’s Fellowship Program, which empowers the next generation of AAPI leaders. The competition was tough, but two rose to the challenge! After a tight race, Assemblymember Patrick Ahrens and Hector De León took home the gold as our 2025 Sushi Showdown Champions!
